With one exception, the race for California U.S. House District 25, which includes a portion of Simi Valley, ended with the Republican incumbent Steve Knight conceding to Democratic challenger Katie Hill over the weekend.

    Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division, collaborated with Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division and Naval Facilities Expeditionary Engineering and Warfare Center to host the first Tri-Warfare Center Engineering Challenge at Naval Base Ventura County Point Mugu on Feb. 22. The event provided local eighth-grade students the opportunity to work with and learn from Navy scientists and engineers while completing the event's challenge of building a bridge out of uncooked pasta. In addition, students toured Navy facilities, hangars, equipment, technology and laboratories, as well as viewed demonstrations in 3D printing and augmented reality.
