    Clallam County's Board of Commissioners are set to approve a one year contract extension to provide indigent legal defense with it's current provider, the Clallam Public Defender group. In Monday's work session, County Administrator Jim Jones said that in a discussion with Harry Gasnick, who represents the Clallam Public Defender group, the county will provide just over one-million dollars to continue their public defense services.

    A Washington survey shows that principals across the state are in "crisis mode" because of a shortage of substitute and full-time teachers. The Yakima Herald reported that the Officer of Superintendent of Public Instruction found that 58 percent of elementary school principals, 50 percent of middle school principals and 45 percent of high school principals say they're in crisis trying to find substitutes.
