    Passaic County officials have scheduled spraying with a powerful insecticide to reduce mosquito populations on Friday night in areas of Pompton Lakes, Ringwood and Wanaque, and are urging residents to take precautions. Passaic County Mosquito Control said spraying with an insecticide called Malathion is scheduled for 6 to 10 p.m., weather permitting, in these areas: The federal Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry reports that high-level exposure by humans to Malathion may cause breathing difficulty, dizziness or blurred vision among several possible health effects.
