Islamic centers in Signal Hill outside of Long Beach, Pomona and San Jose all received the same photocopy of a handwritten letter recently addressed to “the Children of Satan,” and called Muslims several degrading names, such as “vile” and “evil.” Islamic leaders are asking for police protection, and say the letters mark an increase in incidents reported since the Nov. 8 election.
