    POLO – A 44-year-old Polo motorcyclist died around 9 p.m. Saturday when he failed to negotiate a curve at the intersection of North Union and West Canada roads, the Ogle County Sheriff's Department said in a news release. Douglas A. Weidman was southbound on Union when he missed the curve, skidded about 60 feet then struck and snapped a utility pole on the west side of the road, the release said.
