"We're here today to defend and save the recreational fluke industry in the state of New Jersey," said Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Bob Martin to a crowd of both recreational and commercial fishermen near the Fishermen's Dock Cooperative on Channel Drive in Point Pleasant Beach on Jan. 27. "Right now the federal government is considering new limits on fluke fishing that could kill the industry and destroy jobs.
