Court documents show that Bourne Police Department responded to a 911 call at a residence on Quail Hill Road at 2:34 AM on Saturday, November 5. The caller, identified as Shannon McTiernan, reported that a male, identified by police as James Gregory, had been hit in the head with a baseball bat. Ms. McTiernan told police that the bat-wielding assailant, Mark E. Dudas, had fled from the scene in Mr. Gregory's car, a gray Nissan Sentra.
