    Tuesday night of this week, Beth and I attended the Metro Columbus Associational Pastors and Wives Christmas Dinner at Der Dutchman restaurant in Plain City. There were about 70 or so pastors and wives that night and during the evening, our Director of Missions, Dr. Rich Halcomb, shared with us two things about the shepherds on that first Christmas night: 1) they were where they were supposed to be and 2) they heard the angels' message and they did what they were told to do.

    A man has been charged with felony assault after he headbutted, bit and kicked two Plain City police officers during an altercation last month. Shawn Writesel, 41, of Canal Winchester, was arraigned in Madison County Common Pleas Court on Tuesday on two counts felonious assault, first- and second-degree felonies, and two counts of assault, both fourth-degree felonies.

The bridge runs over Little Darby Creek and has been closed since at least 2010, forcing motorists to take a detour on Marysville-London Road, according to Engineer Bryan Dhume.
