    A Pittston Area School District employee has filed a federal lawsuit alleging she was targeted for demotion in an attempt to cut costs because she is a woman. The lawsuit, filed by Philadelphia-based attorney Sidney L. Gold, says Carol Bauman has worked in the cafeteria since 1993 and that she was demoted from being a supervisor in September 2012, making her ineligible for post-retirement benefits.
