    The National Weather Service has extended a dense fog advisory from the far East Bay into the San Francisco Bay north of the Bay Bridge and the East Bay valleys through the late morning today. According to NWS Meterologist Scott Rowe, the regional office in Monterey extended the Bay Area's advisory to the Concord and Livermore areas and the Bay waters overnight after originally only issuing the warning for the east Contra Costa County areas east of Pittsburg.

    Planning commissioners in Pittsburg will on Tuesday consider approving plans for a community farm on a 3.5-acre site within a PG&E power-line corridor north of state Highway 4. The John Muir Land Trust's Family Harvest Farm would be located just south of Polaris Drive, between two large mobile home communities. The Martinez-based Land Trust in Dec. 2017 entered a 10-year licensing agreement with PG&E to operate a farm on that site, and has an experienced farmer lined up to manage the property.
