    Beginning on Jan. 1, 2017, Pipestone County will provide an equal amount of funding to the two public libraries within its borders following action taken by the commissioners July 26. At the current funding level of $51,651 for local libraries, that would mean the county will provide $25,825.50 to both Meinders Community Library in Pipestone and the Edgerton Public Library. Using this year's dollars, the change means an increase of $13,559.68 for the Edgerton Library and a reduction of $599.68 for Meinders.
