Barring any surprises, Flagler Golf Management will be operating the long-vacant Ocean Palm Golf Club by June 1. The City Commission voted unanimously Thursday to approve the first reading of an agreement between the city and the Flagler Beach-based company with which it had been negotiating over the past month. The commission will tentatively cast its final vote on a tweaked version of the agreement Nov. 20. The company had been one of three originally interested in operating the course but was the last one standing at a special joint meeting of the City Commission and Alternative Use Committee in September.
