    Police say a New York man who had been accused of severely injuring his girlfriend's six-week-old baby has been arrested on a murder charge after the child died of his injuries. New York State Police charged Jeremiah Garnett with murder after a baby he was babysitting, Benjamin Jones, died from injuries allegedly inflicted by Garnett.

The Watertown Daily Times reports Janna Cook was in the cafeteria at Indian River Intermediate School in the town of Philadelphia, New York, last Thursday when a 9-year-old boy began choking on a piece of breaded shrimp.
