    Authorities released the identities of two Phelan residents driving in a 2013 Kia Soul who were killed in a early Saturday morning head-on collision on Highway 247 that also injured two Barstow residents. San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department officials said Kyle Vincent Rojas, 22, and Megan Michelle Palacios, 23, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

    Officials are asking for the public's help locating a male Hispanic suspect who stole from a local business in Phelan Monday evening. Just after 6:30 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff's Phelan Substation responded to a report of a retail theft at the local Radio Shack located on Phelan Road. Deputy Patrick Higgins responded to the scene and learned that a Hispanic male adult entered the store and stole $400 worth of electronics, officials said.

    San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner officials said Jason Alexander Shirley, of Oak Hills, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at approximately 6:45 p.m. According to the preliminary investigation, California Highway Patrol officials say the driver of a 2011 Honda SUV, 51, of Victorville, was westbound on Phelan Road and slowing as she approached the intersection to make a left turn. Shirley was eastbound at approximately 55 mph.

    Just after 11 p.m., officials with the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a three-vehicle collision on Phelan Road near Wilson Ranch Road in Phelan. San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials said Kase Chip, 19, and Anthony Soto, 22, both of Phelan, were pronounced dead at the scene at 11:43 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters were on scene to assist with the crash with three medical helicopters, three paramedic ambulances and three paramedic engines, according to their official Twitter page.  Three people sustained major injuries and another suffered minor injuries in the crash.
