    Walker said in a news release Tuesday that the election will be July 21. Candidates can begin circulating nomination papers immediately and must file them by May 26. If a primary election is needed it will be held June 23. Farrow, a Pewaukee Republican, was elected on April 7 as Waukesha County executive. He notified the Senate clerk last week that he plans to resign on July 17. Republicans currently hold a 19-14 majority in the Senate.
