    A 29-year-old Indiana woman was killed and three other people were injured in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 57 near Rantoul Friday afternoon. Illinois State Police at Pesotum said the vehicle, a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer, was northbound near milepost 249 when it left the road, hit the ditch and rolled over.

    Illinois State Police at Pesotum are investigating a two-vehicle crash between a car and a tractor trailer truck that was apparently caused by a drunken driver. Police said just before 4 a.m. Tuesday, Cynthia L. Manning, 30, of Urbana, was driving a Mercury Cougar east on Interstate 74 near Danville when she hit a guardrail, leaving the car in the middle of the eastbound lanes.

    Poor weather conditions led to multiple crashes Sunday night on I-57 and I-74 in Champaign and Douglas counties. State police responded to several slide offs on I-57 in Pesotum and on I-74 near Mahomet, where multiple crashes are said to have occurred, according to a statement from Illinois State Police.
