    Officials with the U.S. Coast Guard Ludington post have recovered one body and are currently searching for another person near Little Sable Point Lighthouse in Oceana County. According to Chief Petty Officer Mark Szoboszlay, officer in charge of Coast Guard Station Ludington, three people went out on the boat around 9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14. At some point, two people fell off the boat, he said.

    Cindy Lou Earle was driving west on Longbridge Road in Pentwater Township around 7:15 p.m. when she lost control on a curve, according to a press release from the Michigan State Police Hart Post. Earle, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the moped and hit her head on the pavement, according to the press release.
