    Although the City of Gulf Breeze boasts some of the more affluent neighborhoods in Santa Rosa County, SunTrust Banks Inc., plans to close its longtime location there on Jan. 17. The Atlanta-based company sent a letter to customers last week that directed them to SunTrust's nearest locations in Tiger Point and downtown Pensacola, both about 6 miles away. People close to the situation said that although the branch is profitable and has many large accounts, the flow of new customers has slowed in recent years along with residential growth in the municipality of roughly 6,000.
