According to Peninsula Mayor Doug Mayer, who is also Boston's assistant zoning inspector, convention organizers are looking for buildings outside Cleveland to rent for the month of the convention for smaller meetings.

City officials will host an informational meeting to present more details about the Heritage Home Program March 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Central Administration Building, 1755 Town Park Blvd. According to city officials, through the CRS, the Heritage Home Program offers free technical assistance and advice to homeowners whose homes are more than 40 years old.

"[Ice grit is] a real small gravel about an eighth of an inch big, and it's for traction," Tesmer said when contacted after the meeting.

    Three design-build teams are on the Richfield Township Board of Trustees' short list to create the township's new service and office building. At the Feb. 19 meeting, trustees chose the team of FMC Architects and the Ruhlin Co., the team of RWL Architects and Seitz Builders, and the team of Four Points Architectural Services and Cavanaugh Building Corp. Choosing those three teams was the township's Evaluation Committee, which consists of Trustee Jeff Shupe, Township Administrator Mindy Remec, Administrative Assistant Debbie Bluso Rogers and Peninsula Architects, whom the trustees had chosen as criteria architects for the project.

The cost of the contract will increase by 4 percent this year to $441,951, by 4.25 percent next year to $460,734 and by 4.25 percent in 2017 to $480,315, according to township officials.
