Pierce was a Lumbee lawyer who was running for Superior Court judge when he was murdered in 1988.

    A Pembroke man was arrested on Thursday and charged with multiple drug and weapons crimes, according to the Sheriff's Office. According a statement from the office, Alan Drake Hunt, no age provided, of Britten Road, was arrested by the Robeson County Sheriff's Office's Violent Crime Task Force/Traffic Team and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon, possessing drug paraphernalia, two counts of trafficking in cocaine, and maintaining a drug vehicle.
