A bear cub who was saved nearly a year ago after a passer-by scooped it up along the side of a road in Payson has found a new home in Tucson. The Arizona Senate rejected a bill Monday that would have allowed gun owners with concealed-carry permits to bring their weapons into public buildings. House Bill 2320 by Rep. Brenda Barton, R-Payson, was designed to require public establishments to allow permit-holders to carry their firearms inside or mandate that security guards and metal detectors be added at entrances.
