WJAR-TV reports that officers invited a homeless man named Mark to sleep in the lobby of the police station after finding him dozing at one of the city's bus stops after midnight Saturday.

The Mary and Joseph statues were stolen from the crA che at the Jeanne Jugan Residence of the Little Sisters of the Poor on Dec. 10. The facility also is seeking donations to pay for an upgrade to its security system, which is expected to cost about $15,000.
