    Nine Patterson firefighters were out on Ward and Sperry avenues for their first "Fill the Boot" fundraiser event in 15-plus years on Saturday. Firefighters raised almost $7,000 in six hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The money raised goes to the Firefighters Burn Institute in Sacramento for burn treatment, burn recovery programs for adults and children, and burn prevention.
