    A Franklin County judge was unswayed by arguments that an uncle feared for his nephew's life when he shot and killed a man outside the La Tropicana nightclub in Pasco Aug. 30. Superior Court Judge Robert Swisher sentenced Santos Flores-Alcaide, 29, of Grandview, to 18 years and four months in prison Thursday after Flores-Alcaide pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of second-degree murder in late June. His attorney had asked for a sentence closer to 10 years and three months, but the judge sentenced Flores-Alcaide to the top of the standard range.
