    As happens every year, local animal shelters are inundated with kittens and young cats as the population hits its annual boom. A little more than a week ago, the Humane Society of Parkersburg told the newspaper there were 45 cats - full capacity - in its main feline facility and more than 100 cats and kittens in foster care.
