    The Humane Society of Parkersburg is awaiting additional tests before reopening the shelter that was closed earlier this month after a dog tested positive for canine distemper virus. The shelter on Saturday issued a release that said staff on Dec. 5 noticed a higher-than-normal amount of upper respiratory infections in the dogs.
