One of the samples was taken downstream from the Air National Guard Base in Battle Creek and the others are believed to be leaching from the former Crown Vantage Paper Mill in Parchment.

    OTSEGO, MI - Could Otsego be next in line after Rockford and Parchment on dealing with PFAs in drinking water? The Allegan County community has had to deal with toxic pollutants for years stemming from waste coming from now-closed paper plants along the Kalamazoo River. Last month, the state DEQ announced the testing of 60 residential wells and 12 monitoring wells, and a town hall meeting this past April was intended to address concerns by residents about the area's water supply.
