    A man who sheriff's officials say crashed a vehicle into a Palm Desert apartment building was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk Tuesday, Feb. 2. Samuel Belmonte, 26, of Desert Hot Springs, was driving about 9:51 p.m. on Rutledge Way when he lost control of the vehicle and struck the apartment building in the 74000 block of Magnesia Falls Drive, Riverside County sheriff's officials said in a news release . Nobody was injured, but Belmonte was taken to a hospital to be checked out before being booked him into the Indio Jail, officials said.
