    Police Chief Craig Capri said on Monday the department reimbursed a 79-year-old cancer patient for the towing fee she had to pay after officers had her car towed following an accident at Halifax Health Medical Center. Capri said in a phone interview that the officers followed protocol when they had Palm Coast resident Josie Araneta's car towed on April 5. Capri said officers asked Araneta whether she had family that could come drive the car but she did not respond.

    Florida Highway Patrol investigators have identified a suspect in the fatal hit-and-run accident on Interstate 95 that killed a Flagler County school bus driver before dawn Monday. According to an FHP report, Raymond Almodovar, 68, of Ormond Beach, was driving north on the interstate when he veered off the highway and his car struck a guard rail, spun back into oncoming traffic, and was T-boned by a northbound Jeep Wrangler.  The driver of the Wrangler then got out and assessed the damage before getting back into his vehicle and leaving the crash, witnesses told the FHP.
