    A Daytona Beach woman died one day after she was run over by her own vehicle as she stood in front of it examining a deer she struck. According to a Flagler County Sheriff's Office report, the crash occurred about 6:45 Friday morning along Palm Coast Parkway SE, just east of Florida Park Drive.

However, although several storms appeared to have tornadoes on radar, no tornado touchdowns had been reported as of 9 p.m., when the worst of the threat appeared to be over in the two counties.

    Kalyn Upton, whose 58-year-old mother, Diane Upton, died in the crash, told the judge during a plea hearing for 28-year-old Rebecca Lawless inside the Kim C. Hammond Justice Center in Bunnell that her mother would've wanted leniency for Lawless.  Lawless was facing up to 18 years in prison and a $10,000 fine after she barreled through a red light at the intersection of State Road 100 and Landing Boulevard the night of Oct. 18, 2014 and slammed into Upton's car. The wreck occurred less than an hour after Flagler County sheriff's deputies had encountered Lawless during a traffic stop where she was described in reports as visibly impaired, combative, erratic and uncooperative.

Margaret Ann Wickel, 17, was a passenger in the 2016 Ford Fusion driven by Terri Lynn Wickel, 55, both of Palm Coast, when they were broadsided by a motorist who witnesses said ran a red light at the intersection of Palm Coast Parkway and Lupi Court shortly before 7 p.m..
