    A Friday afternoon brush fire that grew rapidly in the Daytona North area of western Flagler County caused the evacuation of several homes in the area and county officials are asking residents to take precautions. Flagler County spokeswoman Julie Murphy said four homes on Lemon Street were evacuated and up to another half dozen other homes had been evacuated as of 5:30 p.m. Windy conditions on the west side of the county have hampered efforts to get the fire under control, officials said.
