    A Pacifica woman accused of embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from her employer pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud Wednesday in U.S. District Court, authorities said. Krisinda Messer, 37, faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of $1 million when she is sentenced Oct. 17. Messer created 130 fraudulent checks totaling nearly $437,000 while working as a bookkeeper for San Francisco delicatessens between 2008 and 2011, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

    A man accused of drugging and raping multiple men over a seven-year period starting in 2007 pleaded not guilty today to 41 felony counts related to the accusations, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office. Prosecutors say that, 31, of Pacifica, met three different men for consensual sex and allegedly ended up drugging them into unconsciousness before raping them.

    A man who stranded himself while climbing a cliff wall at Mori Point was rescued by a California Highway Patrol helicopter unit that hoisted him to safety Monday afternoon, authorities said. The unidentified man got stuck on a sheer cliff wall around 3:40 p.m. after climbing about 75 feet up from the beach, with about 300 feet to go to the top, the CHP said.

On Friday, a San Mateo County Superior Court commissioner issued a bench warrant for Gerald Destremps, who was scheduled to be arraigned that day on one misdemeanor count of "sightseeing by use of an unmanned aerial vehicle at an emergency scene."
