    Folks living in mobile homes and condominiums in Oxford Township will begin paying more on their water and sewer bills next year as officials allocated both of them a new Residential Equivalent Unit factor that puts them on par with a standard single-family home. That was just one of the changes made by the township board last week when it voted 7-0 to adopt an updated REU factor schedule.

    It's certainly been a seesaw, but it appears the Michigan Department of Transportation has finally made up its mind regarding when the much-anticipated M-24 construction project will occur. "MDOT will no longer consider advancing the project to the 2019 construction year and the project will remain in the 2020 construction year as previously planned," wrote Sandra C. Montes, manager of MDOT's Oakland Transportation Service Center, in an April 4 email to local officials.

    Twenty-two signs marking pathways and holes were stolen from the Boulder Pointe Golf Club in Oxford sometime between 7:30 p.m. March 27 and 7:30 a.m. March 28. The signs, which were made of bronze and painted green,were removed from the front of various boulders found throughout the golf course, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's report. It was noted in the report that several of the boulders, which the signs had been affixed to, appeared to have been chipped.
