As expected, the weekend storms have provided a major boost for Northern California, with Nevada County receiving over 4 inches of rain Doug Carlson, with the Department of Water Resources, says water levels at Oroville and Shasta dams are back above historical averages for the first time in years for March. Carlson says the north state snowpack is now at 102-percent of average, after falling below average, to 89-percent, when the previous survey was taken at the beginning of the month. Comment?
As expected, it's a good-looking snowpack in the Sierra so far. The first official survey of the season, conducted by the Department of Water Resources, shows that the water content in the Northern Sierra is 108-percent of the historical average. Comment?
