    West Florida Lightning Aquatics, a competitive dive team based at the Southwest Recreation Center in Largo, has sent four divers to the 2015 USA Diving National Championships in Orlando, which runs through Aug. 13. The Lightning Aquatics athletes, who come from the entire Tampa Bay area, train under coach Tony Perriello and compete in high school diving, Amateur Athletic Union and USA Diving events. The USA Diving national championships is widely considered the pinnacle of competitive diving and serves to identify and train future U.S. Olympic Team members.

    Olivia Petys of Seminole was selected to participate in the 2015 Miss Teen pageant competition that will take place Sunday, July 26. She will compete in the Miss Teen division, one of four divisions that will have young ladies ages 7 through 19 competing in modeling routines, which include casual wear and formal wear. The girls also will display their personality and interviewing skills during an interview with the judges.
