    The Opelousas Police Department says that they have arrested a teenager in connection with the shooting incident that occurred on Ina Clare Drive on June, 28. According to police, 18-year-old Jonquaylon Lamb of Opelousas was arrested and booked on 5 counts of attempted 2nd-degree murder, illegal carrying of weapons and dangerous instrumentalities. A 14-year-old was injured during the shooting that took place in the 800 block of Ina Clare Drive.

    The St. Landry Crime Stoppers is asking for help from the public in solving a residential burglary in the 700 block of Charlene Richard Road in Opelousas. On June 13, police say two men were dropped off at the home in a white crew cab, possibly a Chevrolet, four-wheel drive with dark tinted windows and loud exhaust at 10:30 a.m. Stolen in the burglary was more than a $1,000 in cash, a 1994 Northwest High School ruby graduation ring with the name Robin engraved on it, a ruby and diamond ring, a small black safe containing the victim's grandfather's wallet and legal documents and one Apple I-pad.
