    Two people complained of pain after the accelerator stuck on a vehicle causing it to crash into a truck and then garage, Thursday morning. According to a Lawrence County Police report, 62-year-old Christina Mills, of Oolitic, was traveling east on a private drive in the 470 block of Church Camp Road and was stopping at a home when the accelerator of her 2012 Ford Fusion stuck.

    Oolitic Deputy Marshal Bill Allen, who was charged with three counts of child molesting, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge this afternoon in Lawrence Superior Court I. Allen's attorney Stacey Uliana filed a verified motion for change of plea on August 12. Prosecutor Stanley Levco, who presented the case for the state, filed a Class D felony charge of dissemination of matter harmful to a minor. Allen admitted that he had provided the girl with a sexual device.

    Two people were arrested after a domestic fight in the front yard of a home in East Oolitic Wednesday afternoon. According to Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham, officers were called to 42 Farmer Street just before 1:30 p.m. When they arrived, a 21-year-old woman told police she had come to the home to visit her 3-year-old son.

According to court records, Allen's attorney Stacey Uliana filed a verified motion for change of plea on August 12. At that time Prosecutor Stanley Levco, who is presenting the case for the state, is anticipated to file a Level 2 felony charge of dissemination of matter harmful to a minor against Allen which he will plead guilty to.
