An online Facebook survey at Chickasaw County United collected 301 detailed responses that asked if respondents favored consolidation, whom their county supervisor was and if they felt courthouse consolidation would save the county money.

    The following people were booked into the Lee County-Tupelo Adult Jail in connection with felony charges ending Thursday at 11 a.m. Devaughn McCoy, 29, of Tupelo, was arrested by the Tupelo Police Department, violation of probation, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance. Devantae Randle, 32, of Okolona, was arrested by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, seven counts of burglary of a vehicle.

    A 14-year-old Tupelo Middle School student was allegedly shot and killed Saturday afternoon by her younger brother in a fight over a video game controller. According to Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell, the incident happened March 17 around 1 p.m. at the victim's mother's house on Dryden Lane in the Wren community, between Amory and Okolona.
