    Dickinson County, IA - As water levels in the area continue to rise, Dickinson County officials have extended the no wake zones on multiple lakes. The extension comes after water levels rose above 6.05 feet at the USGS Gauging Station on Lake Okoboji and in conjunction with the Dickinson County Emergency Management Commission's policy, the no wake zones on East and West Lake Okoboji, Upper and Lower Gar and Minneswashta Lake have been extended to 600 feet from shore.

    The Spirit Lake Fire Department responded to the report of a fire at 13985 Wedeking Drive in Orleans around 6:45 p.m. Upon arrival firefighters found detected smoke in the garage and determined that home's resident was able to escape unharmed. Fire departments from Arnolds Park, Okoboji and Superior were called in for mutual aid as wind gusts reached close to 50 mph.
