    Nearly 450 seat belt violation tickets were issued by local law enforcement during the annual two-week-long Click It or Ticket campaign held in late May, the state recently announced. With all 12 local law enforcement agencies participating, 448 motorists were ticketed for not wearing a seat belt from May 23 through June 5. Byram issued the most seat belt tickets with 87. Stanhope issued 74, Andover Township issued 68, Hopatcong issued 66, Vernon issued 55, Ogdensburg issued 40 and Sparta issued 39. Each of those seven departments had received $5,000 grants from the state Division of Highway Traffic Safety to use high visibility seat belt checkpoints.
