    A man set himself on fire at a Long Island gas station Thursday night, suffering burns to 90 percent of his body, officials said. The unidentified man walked up to a pump at a Sunoco station on Long Beach Road in Oceanside around 11 p.m. and doused himself in fuel.

    South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside has expanded its post-doctoral medical education, by adding residency programs in surgery and obstetrics and gynecology as of July 1. The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, a non-profit that evaluates and accredits graduate medical education programs, approved the residencies. South Nassau has one of only six new surgery residencies and seven for obstetrics and gynecology that ACGME authorized over the past year.

The Oceanside hospital added the two postdoctoral residency training programs after receiving initial accreditation for them from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education.
