According to the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, firefighters responded to a home on the 38000 block of Sandy Cove Road in Ocean View shortly after 6 p.m. Once on scene, the department says heavy smoke was visible.

    Wilmington Trust has agreed to a $210 million cash settlement in a shareholder lawsuit alleging that the bank fraudulently concealed billions of dollars in bad loans. Plaintiffs' attorneys filed court papers late last week asking a federal judge to approve the proposed settlement, which calls for Wilmington Trust to pay $200 million and auditing firm KPMG to pay $10 million.

    The Dewey Beach Police Department said officers arrested two people Friday night after they were pulled over for a traffic stop and had previous capiases' out for their arrests. According to police, officers pulled a car over for a noise violation on Coastal Highway at St. Louis Street.

    Police said that sometime between 7 p.m. Friday, May 25 and 10:17 a.m. Sunday, May 27, someone forced entry into the Ace Network, an adult education provider located at 516 West Loockerman St., by breaking a window. The unknown suspect then entered several offices within the building and took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing.

    REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- A New Mexico woman was arrested for being intoxicated in the roadway and for resisting arrest in Rehoboth Beach Sunday night. Rehoboth Beach Police were called to the 300 block of Rehoboth Avenue around 11:30 p.m. When they arrived, officers allegedly found 25-year-old Hannah Cain intoxicated and in the middle of the street.

    Seaford Police Department says they pulled over 43-year-old Daniel Turner of Reading, Pa., for an equipment violation in the area of Sussex Hwy and Herring Run Rd. According to officers, Turner initially provided a false name and was found to have an active warrant for robbery from the Reading Pennsylvania Police Department. Turner was taken into custody and charged with being an out-of-state fugitive.
