On July 24, Austin Myers, 21, allegedly punched a woman in the face twice at Veteran's Park in New Freedom, then put her into her own vehicle and started driving toward the beach, according to police.

    A York woman who pleaded guilty to defrauding her brother-in-law of more than $83,000 and then using the money for shopping trips and vacations was sentenced on Tuesday to 30 months in prison, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's office. Nancy Sipe, 47, of no listed address, was granted power of attorney for Marlin Sipe in February 2007, according to the indictment against her; she was supposed to pay the bills and renew subscriptions and insurance for her brother-in-law, according to the indictment She was also tasked with keeping Marlin's credit cards active by "periodically buying lunch at McDonald's," according to the indictment.
