    The opening of Oak Hills High School in 2009 brought a slew of road problems that still plague residents today, and while a recent traffic study aims to find solutions, it remains uncertain who's to pay for them - and how. More than 1,700 OHHS students are driven to and from school by their parents every day, creating bottlenecks, gridlock and because many opt to travel dirt roads in an attempt to avoid traffic, hazardous amounts of dust.

    As a school district police officer here, Mayor Bill Holland fell under his boss' scrutiny for purportedly destroying evidence while leading the investigation into claims that an Oak Hills High School freshman football player had been subjected to sexual hazing, the Daily Press has learned. The call for a probe into Holland's alleged misconduct was prompted by Michael Graham, who in 2013 had been the police chief at Hesperia Unified School District.
