    Gallia Academy assistant baseball coach Jason Wright was inducted into the Ohio Southeast District Baseball Coaches Associaton Hall of Fame on Monday, June 4, during the southeast district all-star game held at V.A. Memorial Stadium in Chillicothe. Wright has coached baseball at the varsity level for 20 years, with 17 of those coming as a head coach at South Webster, Jackson and Oak Hill.

    The Wayne National Forest is seeking public feedback by Tuesday, May 1, 2018, on a proposal that would promote the regeneration of oak and hickory forest on the Ironton Ranger District in southeast Ohio. The project, called The Sunny Oaks Project, is located east of State Route 93, west of State Route 141, north of the community of Aid and south of the community of Oak Hill.

The Blue Angels trailed 3-2 after an inning of play, but the guests erupted for six consecutive runs over the next two frames en route to a permanent lead of 8-3.

The Oaks led wire-to-wire and jumped out to a 29-5 lead eight minutes in, hitting all-5 of their three-point attempts in the opening quarter.
