The 36-year-old husband and 35-year-old wife told police the box was on a truck that left their apartment in New York and was delivered to their new home at Avalon Darien on Hollow Tree Ridge Road, Cappelli said.

    Three Norwalk women were charged on May 11 with fifth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny for attempting to steal $729 in groceries from Stop & Shop at 25 Old Kings Highway South, according to Darien Police Detective Mark Cappelli . Police responded to a report at 9:26 p.m. on May 11 about a shoplifting in progress and met the manager and other employees who had detained the women, Cappelli said.
