    On the heels of a Hearst Connecticut Media report on Frontier Communications using shares of its Connecticut operations as collateral in a revised debt agreement, the state Public Utilities Regulatory Authority is pressing the company for details on the transaction by Feb. 14. Under CEO Dan McCarthy and Perley McBride, chief financial officer, Frontier has been working to reduce $17.6 billion in debt coming due on a staggered schedule over the coming decade. Last week, Bloomberg cited unnamed sources who said Frontier is considering an auction of some of the territories in Florida, Texas and California that it acquired in 2016 from Verizon Communications for $10.5 billion.
