John Dehlin, who had criticized senior leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and spread what his local church leader called "false concepts" about the faith, made the announcement in a press release this morning and on the KUER radio program, " RadioWest ."

    Mormon critic John Dehlin issued a press release Thursday saying he will face a church disciplinary council on Jan. 25 for his "alleged apostasy." Dehlin, who runs a website called Mormon Stories, said his local LDS Church leader, North Logan Utah Stake President Bryan King summoned him to the disciplinary council after sending Dehlin a letter in June and subsequently meeting with him in June and August.
