Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 18 years of age and able to work weekends and overtime.

    The Mahoning County Grand Jury has indicted a North Jackson man for operating an alleged meth making operation out of a home. When Jackson Township police raided the home at 89 North Salem Warren Road last month, they said they found what could be one of the biggest meth labs in the region.

    A Niles woman who's husband was killed on the job at a North Jackson company has filed a wrongful death suit in Mahoning County court. Her husband, 21-year-old John Tomlin, Jr. of Niles, died from an accident at Extrudex Aluminum, on Mahoning Avenue, when he became trapped under sheet metal that fell from metal racks.

    The U.S. Department of Labor has filed a civil lawsuit alleging that a North Jackson manufacturer improperly fired an employee who complained about an alleged hazardous working situation at the company. The suit filed in U.S. District Court in Youngstown accuses the operators of North Jackson Specialty Steel of violating thhe whistleblower provision of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, making it illegal to fire or discriminate against an employee who files a complaint about safety conditions.
