The game, moved from Tuesday, Jan. 24, saw every Viking get into the scoring column as the hosts netted their seventh win of the campaign en route to a lopsided 57-29 victory. Vinalhaven jumped to a 19-6 lead after the first quarter, 31-8 edge at halftime and 42-17 advantage after three quarters.

Walter Kumiega III, D-Deer Isle -- voted against the measure.

    According to Knox County Chief Deputy Tim Carroll, the Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle crash on North Haven just prior to 1 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16. Carroll reported that according to a witness, a 2007 GMC Sierra, operated by Avery Waterman, 19, of North Haven, lost control of his vehicle on North Shore Road and rolled over four times. Initially some had left the scene prior to Deputy Robert Potter's arrival but he was able to gather information as to who was involved, Carroll said.
